Thursday night the Toronto Raptors took on the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Las Vegas Summer League. And a familiar face to WKU fans was announced during the starting lineups.

On Thursday night Darius Thompson recived his first start in the Summer League, finishing with: 7 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist in 15 minutes of playing time. The Raptors went on to defeat the Pacers (94-79).

Thompson has improved throughout the week in Las Vegas. He began the week barely seeing any time on the court at all, to starting the final game of the summer league before tournament play begins. Darius likely won’t make the roster for the defending champion Raptors, but hopefully his skill set can earn him a spot somewhere in the NBA G-League this upcoming season.
