Week 9 vs FAU

 FAU starts 2019 season off with their 4 non-conference games 2 at home and 2 on the road. When FAU comes to WKU they will have played 2 Conference USA home and road games. After winning Conference USA 2 seasons ago the Owls struggled in 2018 under 2nd year Head Coach Lane Kiffin.

    The Offense

In 2018 FAU averaged scoring 31 points per game. They rushed for 3226 yards on the season a year ago, averaging 242 yards per game. They passed for 2873 yards averaging 239 yards per game. The Owls went 83% on trips to the red zone resulting in scoring points. While scoring a touchdown 64% of the time.

The Top Returners on Offense  

The leading rusher returning is Kerrith Whyte Jr. with 916 yards, expect him to get a lot of carries in 2019.  Chris Robison lead the team in passing last year with 2540 yards.

The Defense

In 2018 FAU averaged teams to score 31 points per game. They allowed 2544 of rushing yards on the season a year ago, averaging 189 yards per game. Teams passed for 2888 yards averaging 240 yards per game. Opponents  went 82% on trips to the red zone resulting in scoring points. While scoring a touchdown 74% of the time

 Top Returns on Defense 

Rashad Smith led FAU in tackles in 2018 with 86 total tackles (36 solo & 50 assested).
