Ben Lawson And The Memphis Grizzles Win Las Vegas NBA Summer League Championship | WKU Connection

On Monday night the Memphis Grizzles went on to defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves 95-92 in Las Vegas.

Lawson did not log any minutes in tonight’s championship, but if you’ve been following along this summer league you know that he has made a large impact off the bench for the Memphis Grizzles.

As for Lawson’s future with the team, I expect Lawson to get a shot at a contract with the Memphis G-League affiliate the Memphis Hustle.

Congratulations Ben!

The Memphis Grizzles played in their first game of the NBA Las Vegas Summer League Saturday night, defeating the Indiana Pacers 101-75.

Former WKU big man Ben Lawson put up a stat line of 7 pts & 12 rebounds. Lawson stands out as a decent big man for the Grizzles putting up decent points and rebounding numbers in a limited minutes role. Lawson’s performance from the Salt Lake City games has carried over to Vegas.

The Grizzles will play their second game of the NBA Summer League Sunday vs. the Los Angles Clippers at 10:30 PM on ESPN2.

If Lawson can keep this play up he will most likely be in contention for a contract with the Memphis Hustle for next season (G-League affiliate).
