National Recruiting expert Evan Daniels of 247 Sports calls Bardtown High Schools J.J. Traynor, “One of the biggest sleepers in the country

The Bardtown senior has flew up the 247 sports rankings over the summer from being outside the top 100 to now being ranked the #76 player overall in the class of 2020.

Daniels also had this to say, when asked about Traynor:

“I think he’s got tremendous physical tools. He was just measured in at 6-8.5, a 7-2 wingspan, has a 32-inch standing vertical. All the physical tools are there and the game is coming. He’s just taking big strides. He just turned 17 last week, so he’s still pretty young and his game is starting to develop. Skills are starting to come. He can play inside and out. He’s kind of a combo forward. He’s skilled enough to grab boards and start the break. He can handle some on the perimeter. Long-range jump shots are an area for improvement, but I saw him twice in July and each game he made a three. There’s just so much talent there.”

Evan Daniels (Director of Basketball Recruiting for 247 sports)

Traynor took his official visit to WKU on May 10th of 2019 before shooting up the rankings later that summer. He has scheduled visits with Louisville (Aug. 26th), Cincinnati (Aug. 29th), and Kentucky (Oct. 18th). Schools outside of the area have reached out to Traynor as well, Virginia, Michigan, and Maryland to name a few.

The Biggest Threat

The biggest threat in the recruitment of Selton is Kansas State, which he will officially visit this weekend. This weekend will be huge in the recruitment of Miguel. Kansas State will get the last visit of Miguels recruiting process. Therefore, getting to make the last impression.
