Deon Yelder

On the opening drive from the Chiefs, Yelder caught two passes from Kansas City Quarterback Patrick Mahomes. This was Yelder’s first reception of his NFL career.

Yelder went for 43 yards with some run after the catch ability displayed on both catches. Yelder was really the only spark to the Chiefs passing attack in the first quarter.

Deon ended the game with 2 catches on 2 targets for 43 yards in a Chiefs 34-30 victory in Detroit.

On Saturday night former WKU TE Deon Yelder caught a touchdown pass late in the 3rd quarter as the Chiefs defended the Bengals 38-17.

Yelder caught the pass from former Marshall QB Chase Litton, a C-USA connection in the NFL.

Deon ended the game with 2 catches for 32 yards in the Chiefs opening game of the pre-season.
