Colts Extend Former WKU Tight End Jack Doyle To 3 Year Extension | WKU Connection

This afternoon the indiapolis colts announced they have extended former WKU TE Jack Doyle to a 3 year extension. This deal comes after the Los Angeles Rams decided to extend Tyler Higbee earlier this season. A good year to be former Hilltopper now in the NFL.

To this point Doyle has totaled 36 catches for 377 yards and 4 touchdowns in the 2019 season.

The extension is reportly a 3 year deal worth 21 million guaranteed with a possible for incentives bumping it up to 24 million. Currently 3 former Hilltopper Tight Ends are on active NFL rosters, Deon Yelder (Chiefs), Tyler Higbee (Rams), and Jack Doyle (Colts).

Over the weekend WKU Football hosted a number of recruits and called the weekend “BBQ On The Hill” The official hashtag of the 2020 WKU Football recruiting class was also established, #20Tops.

Commitment #1: Jalen “Jay Jay” Williams

Williams is a 2020 ATH from Clermont, Florida. He spends most of his time at the WR and CB positions. Williams is a talented blocker in running situations from the WR position. As well as, an lengthy CB making it difficult for opposing QB’s to throw his way. He holds offers from Charlotte and Akron.

Commitment #2: Rasheed Miller

Miller is a 2020 OL/DL from Lake Wales high school in Florida. He holds offers from Tennessee State, Mercer, and Kent State.

Darrion Robinson Commits To WKU | WKU Connection

This morning WKU Football recieved a commitment from 2020 WR/ATH Darrion Robinson of Dade City, Florida.

Here are some of Robinson’s highlights from his Junior year: Video

Darrion is a crisp route runner with a specialty in blocking (check the video above.) Currently Robinson does not hold any other division 1 offers, but recently took a recruiting visit to UCF.

WKU Football Lands Commitment From Georgia RB Rashad Amos | WKU Connection

On Friday WKU Football received a commitment from 2020 RB Rashad Amos via his twitter account.

WKU beat out Maryland, Ball State, Coastal Carolina, Western Michigan, and others in the recruitment of Amos.

Western Kentucky extended a offer to Amos on February 19th and Amos’ commitment comes exactly 5 months later on July 19th.

WKU Football Offers Blessed Trinity Standout WR/CB Quinton Reese | WKU Connection

On Tuesday WKU Football extended an offer to 2020 Blessed Trinity (GA.) standout receiver / corner, Quinton Reese. Proving that WKU Football is still heavily invested in the state of Georgia.

Last season Reese’s team won the Georgia 6A State Football championship. Reese totaled 47 tackles and 5 Int’s in his junior season. (Offensive stats have yet to be found). Click here to view his Junior season highlights.

Quinton is tall receiver / corner with blazing speed with a 40 yard dash time of (4.51) and a 10o M time of (11.1).

He holds offers from schools such as, Northern Illinois, East Tennessee State, Army, and Richmond.
